CANCELLED/RESCHEDULED Aug 14th Oakridge Campout and Shuttle

Sorry for the late notice but I must reschedule the campout to next month. I'm
hoping this works out with everyone but since I've already talked to the 2 others that signed up and they're good...

I also talked to a number of people that said they would of gone but couldn't due to the date, so hopefully now they can. 

Ride the wonderful trails of Oakridge

Driving time is about McKenzie, with more options

We'll be shuttling Friday (TBD), saturday (MFW), and sunday (TBD).

We'll be camping at Sand Prarie Campground (no running water, bring some, I'll have a few 5 gallon jugs) and bathing in the resevoir.

Please SIGN UP so that we can confirm with Randy the shuttle guy what we want to do and when.

Also please input your choices for trails here as well

Ride ideas

I agree with Cage on most of the ride suggestions. Although I claim to know nothing as I have never riden in Oak Ridge.  I have only read the trail info in Kissing The Trail guide.  I am open to ideas.

Friday:  "Shuttle Day with multiple short shuttles"

Moon Point, with shuttle it is about 7 miles of downhil 

Larison Rock, with shuttle it is 4 mile downhill?

Larson Creek, with shuttle it is a 6.5 mile downhill / with tech challenges

(not excited about) Salmon Creek Loop - easy / flat / short / 7.5 miles

Saturday: Middle Fork, could be done as an out and back, not much elev. change /20 miles.  no shuttle needed

Sunday: Alpine Epic / with shuttle / long version / makes a nice finish to our weekend

Other trails:

Heckle tooth?  Never heard of it...

Bunchgrass? Never heard of it...

Middle Fork on Sat sounds killer, Alpine or something else on Sunday. Not sure we'll be there in time to ride on Friday.

I will not ride Bunchgrass again EVER!!!!! That was the absolute worst mtn bike ride of my life (MBO 05 one guide wrong trail lost all day f-in nightmare!!)
