Trail Work Party to do initial tread work on the new Spaghetti Factory extension in Post Canyon.

Day: Saturday 3/13

Time: 9 Am - 12

Where to meet: Lower Post Canyon Staging area--where pavement turns to dirt.

What to bring: Water, Gloves, Safety glasses, McLeod's

Post Canyon Update

Work party details – Spaghetti Factory

Day: This Saturday 3/13/10

Time and place:

~ 8:45 AM – meet at lower Post Canyon Rd. Staging area (where pavement turns to dirt)

~ 9:00 AM – leave staging area for work area up Post Canyon Rd. just past Post Flats Staging area.

~ 12-noon – end of work party (unless you want to stay and continue to work)

 

What to Bring: water, work gloves, safety glasses, Polaski’s, McLeod’s, hand saw.

 

Goal:   Cut in trail in one side-hill section

            Rake/clear trail route in lower flat section

            Remove/pull root-balls in trail tread area

 

Coffee and bagels will be waiting @ 8:45

 

About the trail – This new section of Spaghetti Factory will add ¼-mile+ to the trail. The new section will tie into where the new section built last year starts. This trail is built in a section of Post Canyon that was clear-cut about 15-years ago.

75% of the work for this trail has been done since mid-November (90-hrs+).

 

We look forward to seeing you there to build a new section of Cross County trail.

Gonna try to make it to this!  And just an FYI... post trail work shin-diggity - it's Double Mtn. Brewery's, 3 anniv. block party!  Not a bad way at all to end a trail work session (at least IMHO).
