Lewis River Trail - Group Ride
Come and join us for one of this years NWTA Trail Fest group rides.
Lewis River Trail is one of my favorites due to amazing beautity of the large old growth trees, Lewis River, and the flowy single track.
RIDE: Lewis River out and back
For those looking for a BIG ride day we can include an optional Fall Creek Shuttle (i.e. doing the "double trouble")
DATE: Saturday, Sept 21
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The Lewis River trail will be an out and back. And from my memory it is about 36 miles total if you choose to ride the whole thing (i.e. to the 3rd falls) or you can do a shorter version. Being its an out and back ride you can turn around any time you want.
After we complete this the Lewis River ride we have the option of riding Falls Creek as a cross county shuttle ride from Old Man Pass (this is not an easy downhill ride). This option adds roughly 16 miles to your day.
Skill & fitness level ranges from Intermediate to Advanced depending on how hard you want to push it.
We will divide up into smaller groups based on fitness & skill level and no one will be left behind.
This group ride requires that you come prepared and be self-supported. There will be NO Aid stations and you will need to be self-supported (water, food, clothes, and bike parts).
This could be considered an endurance ride (i.e. a BIG day for most people)
Come prepared to have fun with with a group of old & new friends while we ride one of the most beautiful trails in Washington.
ADMISSION: FREE. All you need is to come prepared
CARPOOL MEETING TIME / LOCATION : 7am at the Gateway Transit Ctr (205/84), South parking lot. Note: We will load up and leave by 7:15.
RSVP: It is a must that you RSVP as our carpool plans might be modified.
