Event description

What is it?

Help us plan with what we do in 2020. The Leadership Retreat is open to anyone interested in getting involved with NWTA.

It’s our yearly meeting to review what we accomplished during the year and work together to sketch out what we want to do in the year ahead.We’ll put together a rough schedule of events, form up groups of interested folks, and recognize the active volunteers from the year.

Who should come?

Anyone interested in being actively involved in leading, planning, or delivering NWTA events, work parties, or otherwise helping us make good things happen for mountain biking in our region.

Even of you haven’t been involved in the past but are interested please come out and hear about what we’ve done and what we want to do. It’s a friendly group and we’re always looking for folks who want to get involved.

Our ability to do cool stuff is primarily limited by the capacity of the core group of active volunteers who plan events, lead trail crews, and otherwise step up to be a driving force for making things happen.

If any of the below is true then this event is FOR YOU:

– Are an active volunteer or would like to be more involved;

– Have a MTB-related idea that you want to promote and take the lead on organizing/planning/implementing in 2020;

– Are ready to jump in and be more involved but aren’t sure where to begin (we’ll have some planning committees that will need your help!); and/or

– Like the idea of spending a Saturday (or a whole weekend) with passionate, community-driven mountain bikers while we all put our heads together to keep our incredible momentum (and resulting riding opportunities) growing

Join the discussion and help create the events & activities calendar for 2020.
Start thinking about what projects or activities you want to help with and share them at our 2019 Active Volunteer Leadership Retreat.  In short, this is your chance to help set the course for the coming year.
To add to the FUN of the event, some participants are camping both Friday and Saturday nights.  On Friday there will be a informal night ride, bring lights! On Saturday there will be another ride after the meeting and an evening social.
Make your Camping reservations via the State Park website.
