Event description

NWTA Powell Butte Member Ride & Cartlandia Social

It’s summer.  It’s too nice to be inside (hopefully).  Let’s ride bikes for our June member meeting!

We’ll meet up at 5:30 at Mt. Scott Park and then, at 6:00, ride up to Powell Butte.  Once there, we’ll break up into groups and do a few laps of the park, have some hangouts and watch the late evening Portland skyline.  Before dark, we’ll head down to Cartlandia to enjoy some tasty cart food and to quench our thirst.

Please be sure to bring lights, a helmet, a bike that’s good on and off-road, a lock, some warmth, snacks to keep you going during the ride and water.  If you have to leave early, we can provide suggestions on return routes.

Children are welcome, but please note the riding distance.  It will be 5+ miles from Mt. Scott to Powell Butte.  Then about 4 miles from Powell Butte to Cartlandia.

Meet:  5:30 at Mt. Scott Park.  Be ready to roll at 6.

Post-ride hangouts at Cartlandia. This is about a mile from the starting point.

As always, non-members are more than welcome.
