SHIFT= St Helens International Festival of Trails

SHIFT, formally known as HelensFest was a three day Mt Biking festival to celebrate trails on Mt St Helens.

Event Review

A huge crowd turned out for the annual SHIFT celebration of mountain biking at Marble Mountain Sno-Park on the south side of Mount St. Helens.

A record number of 125 mountain biking fanatics and family members took part in the festivities, with over 100 signing in for the Saturday work party, which focused on opening beginner trails close to the Marble Mountain Sno-Park.

The weekend included a full slate of guided group rides on Friday and Sunday and a great party on Saturday evening.

Big thanks to our sponsors – Cyclepath PDX, Canyonview Cyclery, Fort George Brewing, Growlers Gulch Racing, REI Coop, Trail Insight, Pivot Cycles, Fat Tire Farm, Leatherman Tool, Stans No Tubes, Clif Bar and Hopworks Urban Brewery.

Thanks also to Charlie Biggs for cooking for the entire crowd and to Vaughn Martin who was responsible for organizing a very efficient build. Later this week we will be publishing maps that show the various trails.

And we will be back in 2017!
