Event description

Due to canceling the Switchback Climbing Clinic in February due to snow, we are adding the clinic onto our St Patty’s Day ride. Get the best of both! Hone your climbing skills and then put them to work with a fantastic ride following the clinic.

Join Northwest Trail AllianceProper Cycle Werks & Skate for a
Switchback Climbing Clinic & Ride (Intermediate) at Growlers Gulch.

This ride will make up for all the calories your celebrating will accrue!
Dress to Impress! Green-Your-Gear @ Growler’s, Gals!

We ask that you evaluate your skill level in an honest manner to ensure your safety and the safety of the group.

A Strong Intermediate rider can be described as:
-You’ve been mountain biking for about 2-3 years, and have solid intermediate skills.
-You’ve pretty much stopped complaining about how hard the sport is, even though people keep telling you it gets easier. It doesn’t, but you’re OK with it and you kind of like the pain.
-You can handle rugged terrain, have good control of your brakes and know how to shift gears appropriately so that you don’t get off your bike too often.
-You can handle terrain that is slightly technical, with smaller rocks and roots and can climb on single-track as long as it is not technical
-Longer rides of three to four hours don’t faze you

Registered participants will be provided additional details & driving directions.
