2020 is here & so are our Winter/Spring work parties at Stub Stewart. These Dig Days will be focused in the Freeride mountain bike area.

Come & help us make some great improvements to the trails in advance of peak riding.

Work Party Logistics:

Who: Volunteers of all experience levels welcome!

Where: Stub Stewart State Park. Meet at the Hilltop parking lot.
Location: https://goo.gl/maps/AcQn6WxaCm52

When: 9:00am – 1:00pm

Saturdays: 02/01, 02/15, 02/29, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25 & 5/09

No Registration need. Please arrive at the Hilltop Day Use Center ready to work at 9am.

What to expect:
We will meet at the Hilltop parking lot at 9:00 am to sign waivers, go over scope of work, and discuss work party safety practices. We will then proceed to the mountain bike area and to the specific work site(s). There, we will distribute tools, discuss objectives for the day, and show how to use the hand tools on the trail. Hand tools (shovels, rakes, loppers, etc.) will be provided at the work site.

We will do trail work, rain or shine. Dress for cold, wet weather but wear layers to shed while working.

Riders familiar with Stub Stewart can choose to bring their bikes and may ride back to the work site after checking in at Hilltop instead of hiking in.

What to bring: Lunch, water, snacks, and work gloves.

What to wear:
Boots
Sturdy work gloves (more than one pair is a good idea)
Long sleeved shirt, and layers for warmth
Rain jacket. Rain pants if you have them
Eye protection is recommended (cycling glasses, safety glasses, etc.)
A hard hat or your bike helmet
