Talas Set Up
Hey All,
I was just wondering if you any of you have some experience setting up a Talas. I just got a new bike and was trying to set the sag at 25% (40mm) but in order to acheive that result the air pressure had to be set way below what was recommended. Have any of you expereienced this? I ended up setting it at 20% but it's still below the recommended pressure for my weight. What are your thoughts? What's more important for the initial set up, the correct (recommended) pressure or the sag measurement?
I haven't got a chance to go on a real ride yet but when I do, what should I be looking for? I'd appreciate any tips you guys might have.

Talas Setup
I have an '09 Talas 36 on my trail bike. I'd definitely suggest setting it up
by sag and NOT the recommended air pressure. I run 30%
sag & love the performance.
Good luck!

Cool. Thanks for the info.
Cool. Thanks for the info. I've actually got mine set up at 20% right now. I'll bring my shock pump next time I ride just in case I need to make changes.
Hey is this Tim the photog? This Rob with the Turner. Anyway, thanks again. I hope everything worked out with your bike. We should go ride some time. I need to break my Covert in.
Agree with Tim. I just found
Agree with Tim. I just found the right sag and went with that. I'm not one to fiddle with numbers for days. I just prefer to find what feels right. I've never even done that with my rear shock. I just kept fiddling with what felt good and took that number down for future use.
Enjoy that TALAS! Great fork!
