Coyote Wall (Syncline) trail work - November 10/11
Save the date for Nov. 10/11 when the Washington Trails Association (WTA) will be hosting a weekend of trail work to improve trails in the Coyote Wall area.
I work for WTA and am hoping to get some volunteer help from the MTB community constructing reroutes to create a more sustainable trail system. Specifically we're working with the Forest Service and Columbia Area Mountain Bike Advocates (CAMBA) to design reroutes where the current trail is prone to erosion and braiding (multiple lines).
Last spring we worked on the lower part of Little Maui (Maui Falls trail), now were workng with CAMBA and the Forest Service to design a reroute on Jeff's Trail.
We will have options for signing up for a full day of trailwork on Saturday and/or Sunday from 8:30-3:30. But we're also going to coordinate a partial day option for those who want to help out but can't commit a full day. I'll post further details as we firm them up.
