BUCK CREEK Trail Project + Ride
The plan: Meet at the main trailhead sign at 9, by 9:15 we divide into groups and drive to our worksites. We would work no later than 1 PM so that we do an optional bike ride.
Meeting location: At the Buck Creek Trail sign at the four way intersection at Lake View Road (near Northwestern Lake, WA)
Trail work: We are focused on removing storm damage and general debris from the trail after the winter storms. There will be some tread repair as well. We are focus on reopening the trail from Nestor Peak down to Trail Head One (TH1). I have already cleared TH1 and down to Buck Creek. If time and man-power permits we will work on the Lower Buck Creek Loop as well.
Things to bring: Tools needed: Loppers, cutters & saws, and Maclouds. Clothes: boots, pants, gloves, eye protection, clothes for the weather and water

Detailed directions:From Hood River cross the bridge to Washington. Turn left onto Hwy 14, Drive a couple miles, Turn right onto Hwy 141 connector road and proceed north. At the road merge with Hwy 141 go left and proceed North. Drive about 2 miles. Turn left at the sign for Northwestern Lake. Follow road down the hill & cross the bridge. The meeting place is at the large trail map located at the 4-way intersection w/ Lakeview Rd.

Team update
As of ths afternoon I have received confirmation that three more people are joining us. The more the better. :-)
NOTE - This will be the only work party for the Buck Creek Trail this year. I plan to direct our volunteer efforts for the remainder of the year to the Forest Service trails on Mt. Hood Trails east of Hwy 35. Goal for this weekend is to get the Buck Creek open.
I am headed up on Friday for an evening scouting ride. See you there Saturday morning.
