Small project and BIG Ride - Buck Creek at its best! (i.e. ride w/ a guide)
Goal is to start with a small work project building a small section of trail (approx. 100’). The area of work is near where we will be parking and the section of trail has been cleared and flagged. All we need to do is remove some top soil and ruff in a tread. Bring your bike and be ready to ride as soon as we put away the tools. This event is 80% fun and 20% trail work.
Date: July 4th
Meeting Time: 9AM
Location: At the main trail sign at the four-way intersection near Northwestern Lake. See directions below.
Work to be done:
We will NOT work more than 1-2 hrs. Area of work is a small reroute on the Lower Buck Creek Loop. Goal is to make a section of trail more intuitive and fun to ride.
Tools to Bring: Mclouds, Pulaski’s, shovels.
Ride:
Once we put away the tools we will ride up to Nestor Peak, back down and around the Lower Buck Creek Loop.
Approx. 18 miles
Skill level: Intermediate / Advanced
Having good cardio conditioning is recommended. We will climb about 3800’ of elevation by the time we are done.
