== This is part of the Mt Hood Wild Rides event.==

If you're just starting out with mt biking, 8-mile creek is a great place to practice basic skills.  Highlights of what we'll cover include ascending/descending, coping with obstacles, and trail etiquette.  We'll also check out the local flora and perhaps fauna, if we get lucky.

8-mile Creek trail info:
This Mt Hood classic gives us the choice of a 6-mile easy out & back or a 6.7-mile intermediate loop;  the group will decide at the turn-around point which route we'll take.  Both trails start out along 8-mile creek.  The 6.7-mile loop climbs to Fivemile Butte where we'll be rewarded with excellent views of Adams, St Helens, and Rainier (weather permitting).
