Siouxon Trail work party

Date:
Sun, 09/27/2009 - 7:30am - 5:00pm

Jarred Jackman is organizing a work party on the upper portion of Siouxon Creek Trail, Nr 130.  He has coordinated two work parties which have made a big dent in previous winter's storm damage.  More work needs to be done to get the upper portion of the trail cleaned up.  As Jarred says: "here's your chance to appease the trail gods with some quality sweat that will be rewarded with some great riding in a beautiful area!!!"

Preliminary plans call for us to hike and carry tools to the work site.  We will have loppers, grub hoes, brush saw, and rake.  We will drive in via Carson, WA and hike down from Road 58.

Details for meeting place: at 7:30A at 6203 SE 92nd AVe, so we can LEAVE BY 7:45A.  It's just two blocks south-west of the Foster Road stop on the newly opened Green MAX Line.  We will also meet at 8:30A at the north end of the Bridge of the Gods in Washington.

Expect a fun day doing some trail work to appease the trail gods.  Bring a lunch, water and dress appropriately for the weather.  Long pants and long sleeved shirts are preferred; bring also work gloves.  Carry a personal first aid kit.

This blockage has been removed, but there is alot more work to be done.

I was thinking a dewalt battery sawzall with a 12in blade.  I don't know if I can make it or not at this point.

battery tools

I honestly think the battery would run out before you'd get much done, maybe not though.  Bring it and we'll find out.

bring it all

You can bring all the tools you want.  Are you joking or do you have some contraption in mind?  Can you make it on the 27th?

Can you bring battery

Can you bring battery operated tools?
