Other WA riding areas up North
I was in the NW WA area over christmas and wanted to let everyone know that if you haven't ridden up there, you should! We rode in Anacortes one day, AWESOME. The riding is continuously up and down, lots of great single track with many roots and some great rocks. Some of the rock sections were full on rock drops, technical and scary, really fun! That was at Whistle Lake, also fun was Heart Lake but a bit easier, didn't get to Cranberry Lake which is suppose to be good be but even easier. Check out Skagit Cycles on Commercial and 17th for info.
Also rode some trails at Galbraith in Bellingham, awesome place with a lot of stunts and nearly always a way around if desired. Folks up around B'Ham have done a great job with these trails, we loved Three Little Pigs up and down, Mullet and Cheech and Chong's down, and rode Whoopsie but wasn't all that impressed with it. There's much more up there! Check out Kulshan Cycles on Chestnut for info.
Also rode at Colonnade in Seattle. WOW, again, lots of work has made this place one to visit when passing through town. It's a great place to practice skills and could be a great place to break collarbones! Be careful, but have fun, awesome features all over and there's a ton of stuff packed in, they really used the land to the fullest and it seems as though they're still building.
Enjoy!
