Siouxon Trail Ride!

Siouxon is always fun to ride. 

We have All day ride at Siouxon trail near Amboy. Fast paced ride on intermediate trail. Good for athletic new comers to mountain biking. Watch the weather and come prepared. Meet at Camas Bike at 8am or contact Robert @ robkulp@comcast.net  to coordinate meeting at trail head or neutral location

The ride was a success!

Even though it was relatively short notice, approximately 20 riders turned out for this ride.  Just goes to show two things.  One, there are a lot of people who want to get back on their bikes.  Two, the Siouxon Trail is a "kick in the butt" to ride. 

To help keep the "flow" we seporated into three groups based on speed & ablity and we hit the trail.  No one was left behind as the ride was an out & back.  There were a couple flats and we got a little wet.  But it was a 100% fun adventure because we came equipted with the proper gear.

Ride Report:  3 1/2 hrs, 18 miles, 2000 ft of elevation gain. 

Trail Report:  Zero snow.  The trail was in great shape and clear with the exception of a couple downed trees that you climb around.  The volume of water in the creeks was high and thus the multiple waterfalls were amazing. This trail is on my list of rides to do again in 2010.
