Ride - Syncline Trail

I am organizing a small ride for Advanced riders and you are invited.  

Ride: Syncline

Route: Up the Jeep trail up to the brown house, east to Catherine Creek, down shoe string, back through Hidden Canyon, + optional loop up Jeep Trail and down Little Maui

When: Saturday 2/13 @ 9 AM at the trailhead

What to expect:  Lots of Hills (3K+ of evaluation gain), med-fast pace (however not a race pace).

Weather report: possible rain so come prepared.

Guest:  The ride is open to other strong riders.  Let me know if you can join us.  FYI ~ I will be in Hood River for the weekend, so I will meet you at the trailhead at Courtney Rd. off of Hwy14.

Syncline Ride Report

The ride was a blast.  The rain stopped and the clouds parted.  The trails were in good shape but the rocks were wet and slick. 

Climbed up the Jeep Trail, down Little Moab, up Jeep Trail to Brown House, over to Catherin Creek, down Shoestring, down Hidden Canyon, up Jeep Trail and down Little Maui. 

Cost: one crash, one broken fender, one flat tire.

Stats: 13 miles, 2500 elevation gain, and 2.5 hours. 

Just a typical ride in the Gorge
