4 miles give or take from

4 miles give or take from the start of the gated road.  There will be a orange ribbon marking 2 entrances on the left of the road that are about 100 yards apart.  Both take you into the same system.  And both entrances represent the top ends of  a 'T'.  There is a continuation trail that is not finished that parallels the road for a bit to the north if my bearings are right (not represented in the 'T' shape).

Save yourself the confusion, enter the first left trail 4 miles up the road, stay to the left.  Have fun crossing the creek.

Better yet, ride the trail up.

There is a little lower loop that's shortly up the gated road from the parking lot on the right.  It'll spit you back out to the road where you entered and directly across the road, to the left heading up, is the bottom of the main trail.  You can start climbing there.

Further up the gated road about mile 1.5 or so is a non sanctioned 'jump line' thats fun as all hell.  Hit that on the way out as it will spit you onto the main road.

The route I like to take is climb the gated road briefly, take a left and climb the trail, cross the stream, then up to the top.  Then back down and across the stream again.  Take the road to the top and enter the trail on the left that I just did, take it down again and cross the stream again.  Then cross the road and do the little loop.  Climb the road briefly and enter the jump line to the right, and take it all the way down to the main road.  Go to the car.  About 15+ miles and 3k+ of elevation.

Anybody know the distance up

Anybody know the distance up the road before you make the turn in for the Singletrack?

We are riding rain or shine.

Have fenders, will travel...

I'm in...

When I rode with Cage and Dennis V. a month ago and it was in good shape following heavy rain that abated about 2 days before we rode (with some minor mucky spots).  That creek crossing might not be that much fun....

I can take 3 people and 1 bike in addition to me and my bike.

The Weather

Just checking in to see what folks are thinking about tomorrow's ride and the wet weather? Don't hear what I'm not saying. But, wondering if the trail might be too sloppy? I Don't know much about the drainage out there or otherwise.
