Rocky point rd/Scappoose Advocate??

IS there an advocate for the Rocky Point area or is John Joy still the person of contact?

Scappoose/RPR trails

John Joy has recently stepped down from this role as the primary contact for the Scappoose/RPR trails.

I am currently awaiting a response from our Longview Timberlands contact on the current logging and other items.

Thanks,

Tom

advocate, thanks

Ok i was wondering that. Well once that is completed i might be interested in taking over that role. I live out in Scappoose too so it seems to make more sense to do this role. Just keep me informed and maybe some tips and info/training when and if i do. Thanks Tom.  Bryan

itchin to find new trails

So i've been up here (Portland) for more than two years now and haven't had a chance to try out any trails. I rode daily back in the dirty southwest, so i'm itchin to get back on some trails. Are there any maps that i can check out, or does anyone have any suggestions for some intermediate trails in Scappoose/Portland area?

new trails

well scappoose would be the closest one, (rocky point road off of hwy 30) just there are no maps of the trails there so suggest going with someone that has rident there before. other than that you have to drive to get some decent intermediate trails,  thinking either tillamook forset, mt hood trails, maybe 3 corner rock too.

Nice. I kinda figured,

Nice.

Adventure Maps (you can find these in any Mtn. Bike shop in the area) is good resource to have if you plan on doing self-exploration... along with a GPS to get you home!
