07/14/2010 - 9:00pm

Weather looks good, overcast and 70’s to low 80’s.  Bring lights just in case, I’ve got an extra pair.  14 miles, ~3000 feet of climbing, technical (walkable) and aerobic, about 2.5-3 hours.  Multiple bail outs.  Incredible view.  A few awesome technical and fast downhills.  I haven't riden this this year so well see what the surface is like.

front shock for single speed needed, new, used ok (forum)

I need a new front shock for my single speed, doesn't have to be in mint shape, just work.  I have an old one which requires an adapter that doesn't seem to exist to pump it up!

Sunday Parkways in NE Portland, May 16th! (forum)

This summer, Northwest Trail Alliance will host a booth and provide a bike skill feature area at the Sunday Parkway events.

Last year there were three different Sunday Parkways and we set up the skills park at all of them.  The turn out and response was fantastic! This is an amazing opportunity to reach a ton of people, promote our organization, promote mountain biking, get involved, and in general provide a safe, fun and challenging area for cyclists of all ages and abilities.  Here is some coverage by Bike Portland from last year -http://bikeportland.org/2009/06/22/sunday-parkways-success-thousands-enjoy-gift-of-carfree-streets/#comment-1313437

The first Sunday Parkways will be in NE Portland on Sunday May 16, from 10 am to 3pm.

Please send me an email if you're interested.  We are looking for help throughout the day and even a couple hours is very much appreciated.

New Wilderness Area (forum)

I am not aware of this affecting any existing mountain bike trails since it is a private land swap. But it is something to keep an eye on.
