Tillamook Trail Party

Atypical day, as it is not the usual 3rd Saturday of the month.  But it is the monthly tilly trail party and the annual volunteer appreciation potluck BBQ.  ODF provides meat and pop.  We bring veggies and side salads.  It is big fun.

This is new trail construction on the Step Creek loop trail.  Sign in at 9:30 am at the Reehers Camp Trail Head.  We work from 10 am to 2pm.

SORRY ALL ABOUT THE SHORT NOTICE, MY DAUGHTER AND I BOTH WOKE UP THIS MORNING WITH NASTY LITTLE COLD. I WON'T BE ABLE TO LEAD THE RIDE. Stay tuned to the caledar, I will post a make up ride later in the summer.

Come ride my favorite Tillamook trails with me. We will start at the Gales Creek TH and ride the following:

Gales Creek > Storey Burn > Sikter Lars > Storey Burn > Gravelle Brothers > Brown's Camp > HHT > University Falls > and back to Gales Creek. Plan on riding 3 1/2 to 4 hours and approximately 18 miles. This route has it all....climbing, downhill, technical features, flow.

What a great turnout, I believe there were 30 attendees at the women's clinic yesterday. Thanks to everyone who braved the rain and came out on a holiday weekend to ride! That's dedication, for sure.  Either that or we're all hopelessly hooked on mountain biking. ;)

Tour de Tillamook - Cancelled

Mark your calenders for July 23rd to attend the Tour de Tillamook 2011. This year the event will be held at Reehers Camp. There are a number of excellent beginner and advanced level beginner trails right out of Reehers Camp. This year the event will be a one day event with camping as an option at Reehers for attendees.

The event will feature:

* children's mountain bike skills instruction

* adult mountain bike skills instruction

* beginner, intermediate, and advanced rides

* downhill rides at Raven Ridge

* lunch and dinner will be included

More details regarding the Tour de Tillamook will be posted soon. Stay tuned!
