2011 Trail Skills College

"To help our volunteers succeed in their trail work, PCTA collaborated with many partners to develop a Trail Skills College curriculum. It is designed for workshops to train volunteers both new and old. The curriculum is available for free for all who wish to use it, whether you are a partner working along the PCT, or working on trails around the world."

"This training is offered free of charge in an effort to inspire citizen stewardship of our trails. In exchange, we suggest a donation of at least 25 hours of your time in the coming year to practice your skills by volunteering on trail projects."

NEED: volunteer to handle graphic design work

Have special project for the trail development partnership program....

Need someone to take lead on some graphic design work/vinyl application to trailer... need to obtain quotes from various vendors (ideally seeking in-kind donated labor so materials only at cost) to get official NWTA logo put on enclosed trailer and also on the ST240 machine.

I've opened a dialog with one possible source, but immediate question was "how large" and please provide hi-res image file of the logo...

I don't have time to deal with this aspect.   Also, as sponsors donate towards the program, then we'd want to be able to add top level sponsor logos to the side of the trailer perhaps even on the ST240 machine itself (sort of like selling ad space on race car...)

Contact me if you can take this on.  Note there is a marketing team which would be able to also provide resources such as the hi-res logo image file, and provide insights on best to leverage the sponsor logo thing (i.e. could impact how logo layout looks on side of trailer/machine).

I can provide dimensions of trailer and machine surface area diagram.

Thank you for the participation at the ODF Non-motorized Volunteer Trail Work Party this past Saturday

Thank you to those that came out for the 1st Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) non-motorized trail work party of the season this past Saturday (http://www.nw-trail.org/node/2060).  This work party was led by the Northwest Trail Alliance due to budget and staff reductions for ODF's recreation staff for the Tillamook State Forest.  Thank you to Matt Savage, Reese Bowes, Brian List, Fred MacGregor, Ray Bayley, and Wayne Naillon for coming out to volunteer your time to perform maintenance work on the Wilson River Trail for the benefit of all users of this trail.  We provided a total of 27 hours of volunteer work for the day, not including driving time.
