The Northwest Trail Alliance is holding a fall planting day at the Ventura Park bike pump track. We'll be meeting at the track around 10:30am this Saturday (11/5) and asking volunteers to bring a pair of gloves and a shovel, but we'll have some equipment as well. It should go fast as we have about 30 gallon sized plants to beautify the entrance and perimeter of the track.
The plants are donated by the City of Portland Parks Dept. and part of the approved landscaping plan for the track. We will hold another planting day to complete the project this spring. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their bike for some laps around the track afterwards.
