Being that weather has been (and will be) dry this weekend I am headed to the Gorge for a mtn bike ride.

Cascade Locks easyCLIMB Trail Park

On behalf of the Northwest Trail Alliance, we would like to thank everyone who came out to join us in Cascade Locks over three build days to create a trail loop you can ride at Cascade Locks NOW. easyCLIMB is open for business.

The trail gods shined on us each day, so we are not going to push our luck anymore this year. We had combined 50 working days from volunteers to build this family friendly trail. Several kids were on hand to test and approve the trail, and several dogs to clean up the scraps of complementary pizza and doughnuts provided by the Port of Cascade Locks.

Come Join us for a fun family ride at Family man in Post Canyon! Great place for the kids to play around, ride beginner trails and small stunts as well as play on the pumptrack. Adults will take shifts going for loops while the kids play. Great way to make your passion a family friendly activity. All ages, all abilities welcome! Last Minute - Bringing back the Slow & Social Ride

An attempt to offer up something other than full throttle rides to those who still love to ride the good stuff, but for whatever reason - not at break-neck speeds.

Heading to Post Canyon this morning for approx. 2-3 hour ride time.  Please note: while there won't be anyone left behind, plenty of re-groups along the way and a bit of a slower pace generally speaking... riders should still have at least a solid intermediate level behind them.  It is not my intention to ride the lesser advanced terrain - but rather that terrain at a slower pace only.

Planning on departing the Post Canyon parking area at 10:30am this morning.

Post Canyon - late June ride report

Just a quick update on Post Canyon, I had heard it was already getting dusty after a few weeks of dry weather so I made plans to ride there after work yesterday.  After about an hour on the trail it actually rained a fair amount for about 30 minutes which made for some very nice tacky trail.  Even better news for those planning to ride with Ted on Saturday, after eating dinner in Hood River it was raining again on my way out of town.  

Post Canyon - Trail Ride

For those who are interested, we are riding Post Canyon in Hood River on Saturday.

Meeting time is 9am at the trailhead.  Plan to be on the trail and riding by 9:15 sharp.

Meeting location is at the trailhead at the end Post Canyon road where the pavement ends.
