Detailed directions: From Hood River cross the bridge to Washington. Turn left onto Hwy 14, Drive a couple miles, Turn right onto Hwy 141 connector road and proceed north. At the road merge with Hwy 141 go left and proceed North. Drive about 2 miles. Turn left at the sign for Northwestern Lake. Follow road down the hill & cross the bridge. The meeting place is at the large trail map located at the 4-way intersection w/ Lakeview Rd.

UPDATE:  3.6.11

Due to the current snow levels, the Buck Creek/Nestor Peak work party & ride is canceled.

I did a scouting ride this weekend and couldn’t get to Trail Head 1 due to the soft melting slushy snow and Nestor Peak is covered in snow. 

We will reschedule the work party & ride for another date.

Project - As with years past, we will focus on brush clearing and basic tread repair. If we have enough people show up I will send out a "rolling workparty" to touch up work on other sections of the trail.  We will be working for 3-4 hours with a mountain bike ride following.
