NWTA volunteers will be setting up section of the bike course with challenging wooden features (fun for all ability levels to try! These are the same features at Sunday Parkways events.)

A Pedal Nation Event – The Bicycle Show
On April 10 & 11th, 2010 – Bicycles are taking over the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon - Come see 100+ companies, including Bianchi, Co-Motion Cycles, Kona Bicycles, Brompton Bicycles, Momentum Magazine, Portland Design Works, Queen Bee Creations, Rocky Mountain, Shimano, Showers Pass, Ruckus Components, Bike Portland, Nutcase Helmets and United Bicycle Institute. The show floor will be covered with an exciting mix of retailers, fabricators, industry giants and advocacy organizations all under one roof.

Portland Trail Fest: Kick-off Party at Chris King (event)

Join Northwest Trail Alliance and IMBA for the kick-off party of the inaugural Portland Trail Fest, a 4-day long celebration of everything trails, knobby bike tires and the planet (yes, April 22 is Earth Day!).
Come mingle with MTB advocates, trail stewards, and off-road cyclsits of all colors and stripes, and raise a glass to the 2010 riding and trail building season.
Local bike celebrity and cyclist-of-all-trades Joe "Metal Cowboy" Kurmaskie will be our emcee for the evening and IMBA Executive Director Mike Van Abel will provide the evening's keynote on "the current state of affairs and the future of mountain biking across the globe and in our backyard." We'll have a couple other speakers, but first and foremost this event will be an opportunity for you to mingle and socialize with fellow riders and trail stewards, and meet some of the great folks who manage and care for the trails we ride. All with a tasty cup of Hopworks Urban Brewing organic beer in hand!
