Mount St Helens Institute projects! (forum)
Submitted by DAnderson on Tue, 03/09/2010 - 8:09am.The Mount St Helens Institute has a lot of great volunteer programs that help visitors to the Mount St Helens National Volcanic Monument. I encourage everyone to get out and do some volunteering on your public lands! It's a great way to meet people and help maintain what we all appreciate. The season's first work party in March 13th at the Monument Headquarters and it will be working on the tools we use to do trail maintenance. There are also trail work parties on trails mtb'ers use, such as South Coldwater and Butte Camp trails. Check the Mount St Helens Institute's website out for the individual work parties, and sign up for one or more! You'll be glad you did!

Willows Gone Wild (forum)
Submitted by Charlie Biggs on Wed, 03/03/2010 - 8:38pm.Tait and I are heading out to Three Corner Rock Friday morning with the goal of getting up to the summit face to do some pruning along the north side. We'll be at the trailhead around nine am. Bring pruning tools and get yer climb on. Lots of low hanging fruit if yer not up for a summit push.
This is not an NWTA event or ride. It's me and Tait going to ride and prune.
Planning on heading to Siouxon to enjoy the last day of 60+ weather and No Rain! Anyone in? (forum)
Submitted by qanuk on Mon, 03/01/2010 - 5:01am.I was planning on making a trip over to Siouxon today (late morning/early afternoon). I've never been and was wondering if either:
a) anyone wanted to head out for a ride,
b) if anyone had any data/insight that they'd be willing to share about what to ride, how to get there, etc.... it would be greatly appreciated!

Trails east of Catherine Creek are Closed to Bikes.
Stay on Existing Trails: Do not ride off trail or create new routes
Be Sensitive to the Dirt Beneath You: Wet and muddy trails are more vulnerable to damage, consider other riding options in these conditoins to protect sensitive resources.
Ride Responsibly: Be courteous to other users and maintain control of your bicycle.
