SUMMARY:Coldwater Lake Campout and Trail Work Party - 6/5-7
DESCRIPTION:Join NWTA for a work party and optional campout at Coldwater Lake in the Mt. St. Helens National Monument. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nDue to our strong partnership with the US Forest Service we are permitted to camp overnight (primitive) from June 5th – June 7th near the shores of Coldwater Lake. This rare opportunity is only available during this event. \n\n\n\nPlease note that the space for campers is limited. There is also no water or dump facilites at the camp site. Restrooms will be available for camper’s use just a short walk from camp. \n\n\n\nInformation about Coldwater Lake: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/giffordpinchot/recarea/?recid=40398 \n\n\n\nAll ages and skill levels are welcome. \n\n\n\nWhat to bring for the work party: \n\n\n\n* Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\n* Jacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\n* Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\n* Water \n\n\n\n* Snacks \n\n\n\n* Lunch \n\n\n\nPlease bring your favorite tread tool if you have one (rakes\, McLeod\, rouge hoe\, loppers)\, otherwise a tool will be provided for you. \n\n\n\nFood will not be provided for Friday night campers \n\n\n\nAfter the work party\, NWTA will host an early dinner for all the volunteers. \n\n\n\nPET (DOG) OWNERS: If you bring your pet\, know that you cannot leave them unattended at the campsite. DESCRIPTION:Join NWTA in the beautiful Gifford Pinchot National Forest for a day of trail work on the Falls Creek trail. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin NWTA for our first stewardship event in the Falls Creek zone this season. This is a popular trail in the summer months and we want to get it in top shape! \n\n\n\nWe will be working on much needed tread repair\, brushing and drainage work.  \n\n\n\nMeeting Location: Old Man Pass Sno Park Load into your GPS before you lose service. \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nYour bike (optional) \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, long pants (no shorts)\, boots\, gloves\, eye protection \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nLunch \n\n\n\nFavorite trail tool: Folding Handsaw\, hoe or metal rake (We have tools\, but please feel free to bring your own) \n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 9:30 a.m. Please arrive 15-20 mins early to ensure that you are adequately checked in.
