DESCRIPTION:Weekend event celebrating the construction of a new technical MTB trail in the Columbia Gorge near Cascade Locks\, Oregon \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin us for a weekend of outdoor fun and trail stewardship in the breathtaking​ Columbia Gorge!Event Highlights:Campout Social: Embrace ‘mountain bike’ camaraderie under the stars with fellow volunteers! \n\n\n\nGroup Rides: Come prepared to enjoy both day and night rides (hint- bring your lights) \n\n\n\nTrail Work: Be a trail hero! Contribute to the construction of a new technical trail​. Then\, you’ll get a chance to test ride what we’ve built. \n\n\n\nWhy Attend:Hands-On Contribution: Whether you’re a seasoned trail builder or new to the game\, everyone is welcome to join in the trail-building excitement. \n\n\n\nTools and Guidance: We provide the tools and expert guidance\, ensuring a safe and enjoyable trail-building experience. \n\n\n\nGive Back: Your enthusiasm and teamwork will make a lasting impact on the local mountain biking community and the trails we cherish.Location: ​We have reserved the group campsites at the Wyeth Forest Service Campground. All you need to do is to register and join the fun.​Dates: Friday May 3 – Sunday May 5. SUMMARY:Coldwater Lake Trail Work Party & Optional Campout - 5/30
DESCRIPTION:Join NWTA at the Mt. St. Helens National Monument for a day of trail work & an optional weekend of camping and group rides. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWorkparty Date: Saturday\, May 31st from 9am-3pm \n\n\n\nCampout Dates: Friday\, May 30th – Sunday\, June 1st. \n\n\n\nJoin NWTA & Growlers Gulch Racing for a work party and optional campout at Coldwater Lake at the Mt. St. Helens National Monument. \n\n\n\nDue to our strong partnership with the US Forest Service we are permitted to camp overnight (primitive) from May 30th – June 1st near the shores of Coldwater Lake. This rare opportunity is only available during this event.  \n\n\n\nPlease note that the space for campers is limited. There is also no water or dump facilites at the camp site. Restrooms will be available for camper’s use just a short walk from camp. \n\n\n\nInformation about Coldwater Lake: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/giffordpinchot/recarea/?recid=40398 \n\n\n\nAll ages and skill levels are welcome. \n\n\n\nWhat to bring for the work party: \n\n\n\n* Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\n* Jacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\n* Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\n* Water \n\n\n\n* Snacks \n\n\n\n* Lunch \n\n\n\nPlease bring your favorite tread tool if you have one (rakes\, McLeod\, rouge hoe\, loppers) \n\n\n\nWaiver – Once registered\, please sign the waiver HERE. \n\n\n\nFood will not be provided for Friday night campers \n\n\n\nAfter the work party\, NWTA will host a BBQ for all the volunteers. \n\n\n\nPET (DOG) OWNERS: If you bring your pet\, know that you cannot leave them unattended at the campsite.
