Participants will be learning safety techniques and tool identification/uses\, as well as hands-on training of corridor clearing\, drainage\, tread repair and benchwork. \n\n\n\nNorthwest Trail Alliance’s Trail Sustainability Institute’s goal is to foster a culture of land stewardship within the mountain bike community. We’ll provide the tools and guidance\, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm. \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring:\n\n\n\n\nWork clothes: long sleeve shirt\, and long pants (no shorts)\n\n\n\nSturdy boots\, gloves\, and eye protection\n\n\n\nWater\, snacks\, and lunch\n\n\n\n\nTools:\n\n\n\nWe will have tools\, but we could use more grass trimers (i.e. weed whackers)\, hedge trimmers\, and mowers. If you have one to bring\, please bring it. \n\n\n\nTime and Place\n\n\n\n\n9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at EasyCLIMB trail on the east side of Cascade Locks\n\n\n\nTrail work will last approximately 4-5 hours and finish with some social time.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProject:\n\n\n\n\nCutting back vegetation and doing basic dirt work.\n\n\n\n\nTiming:\n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 9:15 AM.
