DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Women-Led Hydraulic Brake Clinic\, Friday\, March 3rd. \n\n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n\n\nIn partnership with the Trail Sisters of the Northwest Trail Alliance\, RCB Mechanics Isabella\, and Sarah are hosting a fun/social opportunity to exchange information and experience working on hydraulic brake systems. \n\n\n\nSpace is limited\, all are welcome and women\, non-binary\, and femme home mechanics are encouraged. \n\n\n\nOn March 3rd\, participants will be invited to our MLK location (706 MLK Jr Blvd) at 6pm\, then by 6:30…we’ll be rolling into the one-hour\, hands-on clinic exploring Sram and Shimano mountain bike brakes. DESCRIPTION:Due to the weather\, the NW Trail Sister’s Dig Series at Klootchy Creek has been canceled. We are planning on rescheduling it. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for the third installment of the NW Trail Sister’s Dig Series – Trail Maintenance! \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nDIG SEASON IS HERE! Are you ready to get dirty? \n\n\n\nJoin us at Klootchy Creek for the third installment of the NW Trail Sisters Dig Series – Trail Maintenance! We are still finalizing the projects we’ll be working on\, but we can promise you won’t want to miss this one! Specialized will be providing post-dig food + drinks.  \n\n\n\nThe dig series is a set of dig days dedicated to skills and confidence building. We have four dig days scheduled at multiple locations where we will cover the ins-and-outs of trail building in a fun and supportive environment. \n\n\n\nWe welcome all women and non-binary folks interested in trail building to join us! No prior digging experience is necessary.  \n\n\n\nWaiver: Once registered\, please sign the waiver HERE. \n\n\n\nAlso\, to access Lewis and Clark Timberlands (Klootchy Creek trail system) you’ll need this FREE\, required permit.  \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n\n\nWarm clothing & extra layers: We will be outside in the cold\, dress warm and bring extra layers.\n\n\n\nRain jacket (and pants if you have them): It’s January in the PNW\, odds are high it’ll rain and that doesn’t stop us from digging! \n\n\n\nGloves (waterproof are best): It wouldn’t hurt to bring an extra pair\, too. Cold hands suck!\n\n\n\nSturdy shoes\n\n\n\nHelmet or hard hat (required)\n\n\n\nEye protection \n\n\n\nWater\n\n\n\nSnacks & lunch\n\n\n\nBike and bike gear for post-digging rips\n\n\n\n\nTOOLS WILL BE PROVIDED. You are not required to bring any tools\, but if you have your own folding saw\, loppers\, rake\, shovel\, or hoe\, feel free to bring it. \n\n\n\nJoin NWTA and become one of nearly 6\,000 mountain bikers stewarding trails together in NW Oregon and SW Washington. If the cost of membership creates a financial hardship\, please reach out to us\, we can help with that barrier. \n\n\n\nThese events are very popular and sell out quickly. DESCRIPTION:Due to snow still on the trails\, Trail School at Stub has been canceled this weekend. We’ll reschedule. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNWTA’s Trail Sustainability Institute will be hosting Trail School at Stub Stewart State Park. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nTrail School teaches the fundamental skills needed to maintain our trails. Participants will be learning safety techniques and tool identification/uses\, as well as hands-on training of corridor clearing\, drainage\, tread repair and benchwork.  \n\n\n\nNorthwest Trail Alliance’s Trail Sustainability Institute’s goal is to foster a culture of land stewardship within the mountain bike community. By training people to build sustainable trails\, and by training people to lead crews of trail builders\, we are raising the level of our own stewardship\, and increasing our capacity to build and maintain quality trails. \n\n\n\nOnce registered\, please sign the waiver HERE \n\n\n\nWhat to wear: \n\n\n\n– Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\n– Jacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\n– Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\n-Gloves \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\n\n\n– Water \n\n\n\n– Snacks \n\n\n\n– Lunch \n\n\n\nA $5 day use parking pass is required\, and can be purchased at the Hilltop Day Use Parking Lot where we are meeting (on the far end). We will be carpooling from there\, please bring a mask to wear for that short drive.  \n\n\n\nSTART time is 10am. Please have yourself and your gear ready by that time. You may find it helpful to arrive 15 minutes early.  \n\n\n\n*COMMITMENT* We understand life happens\, if you are unable to attend\, please let us know AT LEAST 24 hours in advance.
