By training people to build sustainable trails\, and by training people to lead crews of trail builders\, we are raising the level of our own stewardship\, and increasing our capacity to build and maintain quality trails. \n\n\n\nTrail School covers the fundamental skills needed to maintain our trails. Participants will be learning safety techniques and tool identification/uses\, as well as hands-on training of corridor clearing\, drainage\, and benchwork.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOVID Protocols \n\n\n\nDue to COVID-19\, masks are mandatory when you cannot maintain safe social distancing. We have also had to limit the number of participants. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, July 31st at the Sandy Ridge trail system for a beginner-friendly mountain bike ride with the WTF riders of Metropolis Cycle Repair. This ride is for the Women\, Trans\, Femme (WTF) community who want to build their confidence when riding at trail systems like Sandy Ridge. Our focus for this event will be building skills to help you become a more confident rider. Beginner & Advanced Beginner WTF Mountain Bike Riders this event is for you! \n\n\n\nThe ride will promptly begin at 10 am and conclude by 2 pm. Expect to ride at least 6 miles and climb around 1000 feet. After the ride\, the groups will gather back at the parking lot for a hosted BBQ (meat & veggie options available) by Metropolis Cycle Repair.
