DESCRIPTION:NWTA’s annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day returns\, this time at the fantastic EasyCLIMB trail system in Cascade Locks! \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEspañol abajo \n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, October 4th\, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Cascade Lock’s EasyCLIMB trail system to celebrate the annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. \n\n\n\nThe fun-filled day will include skills stations\, activities for all levels of riders\, bike games\, and a raffle! Bring bikes\, helmets\, and water bottles. NWTA has a limited number of youth mountain bikes to loan. \n\n\n\nDesignated in 2004 by the U.S. Congress\, Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day is a family-friendly outdoor event focused on celebrating the magic of mountain biking and building confidence in young riders. Whether it’s their very first time riding dirt\, or if they’re ready to challenge themselves and improve their skills\, all young riders are welcome. \n\n\n\nThank you to partners and sponsors\, including Northwest Trail Alliance\, the Port of Cascade Locks\, Portland Design Works\, and more. \n\n\n\n— \n\n\n\nAcompáñenos el sábado 4 de octubre\, de 10:00 a.m. a 2:00 p. m.\, en el sistema de senderos EasyCLIMB de Cascade Lock para celebrar Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day (el día de ciclismo de montaña para los jovenes\, or TAKMBD por sus siglas en inglés). \n\n\n\n¡Este día lleno de diversión incluirá estaciones de práctica\, actividades para todos los niveles\, juegos de ciclismo y una rifa! Traiga bicicletas\, cascos y botellas de agua. DESCRIPTION:Join us ​for​ a big day of trail work at the NEW skills area at EasyCLIMB. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis event is perfect for riders who want to give back to the trails we love. \n\n\n\nThe objective is to ​f​inish shaping berms\, jumps\, and drops. So bring you bike so we can ‘test’ our work. \n\n\n\nThis one big ​work party = ​ the completion of this project. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re a seasoned trail builder or a newbie\, everyone is welcome to lend a hand and make a difference. We’ll provide the tools and guidance\, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm. \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring:\n\n\n\n\nWork clothes: long sleeve shirt\, and long pants (no shorts)\n\n\n\nSturdy boots\, gloves\, and eye protection\n\n\n\nWater\, snacks\, and lunch\n\n\n\nhardhat or bike helmet\n\n\n\n\nTools: \n\n\n\nWe will have tools\, but if you have flat shovels and hardback rakes\, please bring them. \n\n\n\nTime and Place \n\n\n\n\n9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at EasyCLIMB trail on the east side of Cascade Locks\n\n\n\n​Trail work will last approximately 4-5 hours ​w​ith bonus time for test rides\n\n\n\n\nTiming:\n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 9:15 AM. Please arrive 15–20 early to ensure that you are adequately checked in.
