DESCRIPTION:Work on the skills area trails. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nCANCELED DUE TO WEATHER. \n\n\n\nJoin us for a community effort to restore our beloved mountain bike trails impacted by a recent forest thinning project aimed at improving forest health. Together\, we’ll work to repair and enhance the trails to ensure they’re safe\, sustainable\, and ready for riders again. \n\n\n\nWe have flagged new trails in the skills area. Please come out and help us clear the the slash off of the proposed trails so we can start cutting them in. \n\n\n\nLook for a confirmation email by 9 AM the morning of the event in case we need to cancel due to weather. \n\n\n\n11am – 4pm \n\n\n\nMeet at the far end of the Hilltop Day Use Area \n\n\n\nTrail work will last approximately 5 hours\, wrapping up at 4:00. \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks/Lunch \n\n\n\nBike – If you would like to bring your bike to ride back to the skills area\, you are welcome to. \n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 11 am. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure that you are adequately checked in. We work in all weather\, so come prepared for the elements\, whatever they may be (and change of clothes in the car for when we finish). \n\n\n\nEmail stubstewart@nw-trail.org with any questions
