Join Northwest Trail Alliance for an epic day of shuttle laps. \n\n\n\n\nSOLD OUT\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin Northwest Trail Alliance for a day of shuttled riding at Sandy Ridge. This is a fundraiser for Northwest Trail Alliance. We’re putting the money right back into trails for the community to enjoy. Cyclepath will be cooking up some food for lunch\, Hopworks will be providing refreshments\, Pelican will have N/A Hopwater on hand. We’re excited to bringing back the Sandy Ridge Shuttle. Come out and support the trails you love. \n\n\n\nNOTE: This event is sold out. We are beholden to permitting limits\, and also need to be cognizant of our partners that have already ordered the food and beverages given those limits. If you are still looking to obtain a shuttle ticket\, there are two options: \n\n\n\n\nWe are still looking for a few shuttle day volunteers; those who sign up for a half day of help during the shuttle day get to ride for a half day free of charge. Please email volunteer@nw-trail.org if interested. \n\n\n\nSome tickets may be sold on-site after 10:30 a.m.\, once initial check-in is complete. DESCRIPTION:Trail building opportunity in the City of Portland! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin Portland Parks & Recreation staff and NWTA volunteers in completing important trail work projects at Powell Butte on Saturday 10/19/2024 (9:00 am-1:00 pm) . No experience necessary! Youth participants must be at least age 14. \n\n\n\nWe will be benching a section of the trail: using trail tools such as grubbers\, McLeod’s and shovels to level and widen the trail. We also will be clearing and adding drains for water to get off the trail in preparation for the wet season\, along with improving wet or muddy sections of trail. \n\n\n\nWear sturdy close-toed shoes\, long pants\, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear\, a hat\, a filled water bottle\, and snacks. Instruction\, tools and gloves otherwise provided. You will be walking up to 2 miles away from the meeting location and restrooms\, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive on time\, or you may miss the group. No experience necessary! Youth participants (under 18) welcome with adult supervision (waivers required by parent/guardian). \n\n\n\nWear sturdy close-toed shoes\, long pants\, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear\, a hat\, a filled water bottle\, and snacks. Instruction\, tools and gloves otherwise provided. You will be walking up to 2 miles away from the meeting location and restrooms\, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive on time\, or you may miss the group. \n\n\n\nThe tools we will be using for the event includes grubbers\, McLeod’s and shovels to armor the trail which is improve wet or muddy sections of trail. We will be using wall rock to build up a section of trail that is constantly wet.
