SUMMARY:TSI Advanced Trail School: Trail Building Start to Finish - 3/8
DESCRIPTION:Join NWTA’s Trail Sustainability Institute (TSI) for an Advanced Trail School that covers the soup to nuts of trail building! \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAre you curious about how to build a trail from start to finish? Join NWTA’s Trail Sustainability Institute (TSI) for an Advanced Trail School that will take volunteers through the process of determining where to place a trail\, all the way through to finished single track.  \n\n\n\nWhat are we doing?: The day will involve sustainable trail placement\, flagging\, considering sightlines\, corridor clearing\, establishing tread\, determining drainage considerations\, re-naturalizing disturbed surroundings and finishing work.  \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n\n\nWarm clothing and extra layers.\n\n\n\nRain jacket (and rain pants if you have them and the weather calls for it): It’s February in the PNW\, odds are high it will rain\, but that doesn’t stop us from digging!\n\n\n\nGloves (waterproof are best): It wouldn’t hurt to bring an extra pair\, too.\n\n\n\nSturdy shoes\n\n\n\nHelmet or hard hat (required)\n\n\n\nEye protection\n\n\n\nWater\n\n\n\nSnacks and lunch\n\n\n\n\nAny necessary tools will be provided. You are not required to bring any of your own. \n\n\n\nQuestions? Shoot them to Nancy Stone at nancys@nw-trail.org
