DESCRIPTION:The Northwest Trail Alliance is excited to continue our NWTA monthly youth rides! These rides are designed to provide a safe space for youth riders to meet and to develop confidence on the trails.  These rides are free\, but we ask that you register at least 24 hours in prior to ride. \nAlthough not clinics\, the NWTA youth rides will be led by experienced mountain bike enthusiasts and are open to youth of all riding abilities. The NWTA youth rides are generally for teen riders\, however\, younger children with mountain biking experience and who are comfortable riding without their parents are welcome to attend. Please note that because the NWTA youth rides are not clinics participants will have the best time if they have some cursory mountain biking experience. \nPlease bring a mechanically sound mountain bike\, helmet\, closed-toed shoes\, water and snacks. Elbow and knee pads are recommended. \nNWTA will host a corresponding ride for chauffeurs and advanced youth riders. Come ride with us! \nThe Oregon League was founded in 2017 as a non-profit (501(c)(3) Project League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). They facilitate the development of high school and middle school teams/clubs for grades 6-12 and provide the education\, training\, licensing\, and insurance for coaches and volunteers. They also produce high-quality mountain bike events and races that emphasize the value of participation\, camaraderie\, positive sporting behavior\, and well-being over competition. \nThe Northwest Trail Alliance is an all-volunteer\, non-profit organization based in Portland\, Oregon.
