They can ride 2 miles or more on a trail or bike path. \n\n\n\nDuring this class: these riders will continue to improve their balance overall and learn to stand and coast on the pedals for short. They’ll learn to ride over varying terrain\, including trails and rolling terrain\, brake and corner with more confidence\, and shift more smoothly. They’ll learn to climb\, descend and ride faster; they’ll also learn slow-riding skills to have fun riding more technical trails\, including roll downs up to 6-8” high.  \n\n\n\nBike: The Beginner’s bike is a mountain bike\, either a hardtail or full suspension\, and has platform pedals\, two hand brakes (front and rear)\, a seat that can move up and down\, and is in good working condition. Single speeds are OK\, but a bike with gears will be more fun on the climbs coaster brakes\, bald tires\, or kickstands.  \n\n\n\nAdditional Required Gear:  \n\n\n\n-A properly fitting helmet in good condition and is less than 5 years old. \n\n\n\n-Water bottle and snacks \n\n\n\n-Clothing appropriate for the weather \n\n\n\n-Tools for moving the seat up and down if necessary \n\n\n\n-Pack to carry layers\, snacks\, tools\, and water \n\n\n\nRecommended Gear: \n\n\n\n-Full fingered gloves \n\n\n\n-Knee and elbow protection \n\n\n\n-Eye protection \n\n\n\n-Tools and supplies to change a flat tire (with assistance!) \n\n\n\nQuestions?
