SUMMARY:Stub Stewart Dig Day - 11/11
DESCRIPTION:Trail work in the MTB area. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nCome join us for a fun-filled day of digging and exploring at Stub Stewart State Park! This in-person event is perfect for nature enthusiasts\, families\, and anyone who loves the smell of freshly dug dirt.  \n\n\n\nWhether you’re a seasoned digger or a first-timer\, our experienced leads will be there to assist you throughout the day.  \n\n\n\n10am – 2pm  \n\n\n\nMeet at the far end of the Hill Top Parking lot. If you don’t have a day pass\, you will need to purchase one for $5 at the kiosk near the restrooms. \n\n\n\nTrail work will last approximately 4 hours\, wrapping up at 2:00. We will have food and beer afterwards. \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 10 am. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure that you are adequately checked in. We work in all weather\, so come prepared for the elements\, whatever they may be (and change of clothes in the car for when we finish). \n\n\n\nWe will carpool back into the MTB area and hike a short distance from there. \n\n\n\nOnce registered\, please sign the waiver HERE \n\n\n\nEmail stubstewart@nw-trail.org with any questions \n\n\n\nFocus will be on reshaping berms and jumps\, extending a berm on lower drip torch\, as well as working on RailYard.

DESCRIPTION:NWTA’s Trail Sustainability Institute will be hosting Crew Leader Training at Stub Stewart State Park. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nCrew Leaders are essential to the success of trail building work parties. These individuals provide guidance\, vision and share their knowledge with their crew of trail builders. If you are a seasoned Trail Steward who is interested in expanding your skills and tapping into becoming a leader\, this training is for you! \n\n\n\nNorthwest Trail Alliance’s Trail Sustainability Institute’s goal is to foster a culture of land stewardship within the mountain bike community. By teaching people how to build sustainable trails\, and by training trail builders to lead crews of trail stewards\, we are raising the level of our own stewardship\, and increasing our capacity to build and maintain quality trails. \n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held at Stub Stewart State Park in the Mountain Dale Cabin Village Meeting Hall. Drive past the Hilltop Day-Use Area (although carpooling from Hilltop may be necessary) to the Cabin Village.  \n\n\n\nWhat to wear: \n\n\n\nHalf of this training is indoors (morning) while the second half is outdoors. Dress for the elements. \n\n\n\n– Work clothes: Long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves.  \n\n\n\n– Jacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\n– Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring: \n\n\n\n– Water \n\n\n\n– Snacks \n\n\n\n– Lunch \n\n\n\nSome morning and afternoon snacks as well as refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch. \n\n\n\nPlease sign the waiver  HERE \n\n\n\nIt is opportunities like these that are possible because of NWTA membership dollars. If you are not a member\, or need to renew your membership\, you can do so on our website to join nearly 6\,000 other mountain bikers who are supporting our trails! \n\n\n\nThis training not only has limited spots available\, but is only offered twice a year.
