Bring rain gear and/or sun gear\, a hat\, a filled water bottle\, and snacks. Instruction\, tools and gloves otherwise provided. You will be walking up to 2 miles away from the meeting location and restrooms\, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive on time\, or you may miss the group. \n\n\n\nThe tools we will be using for the event includes grubbers\, McLeod’s and shovels to armor the trail which is improve wet or muddy sections of trail. We will be using wall rock to build up a section of trail that is constantly wet. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday 02/25 to do some needed trail work at Powell Butte. \n\n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n\n\nAll ages & trail maintenance skill levels are welcome! \n\n\n\nWhere to Meet \n\n\n\nEllis Street Trailhead: 5608 SE 145th Avenue\, Portland\, OR 97236 \n\n\n\nScope of Work \n\n\n\nJoin Portland Parks & Recreation staff and community volunteers in completing important trail work projects on Powell Butte. We will continue the turnpike trail work and hopefully get to some work on Douglas Fir trail.  \n\n\n\nNo experience necessary! Youth participants must be at least age 14\, and all volunteers aged 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign our youth waiver forms. \n\n\n\nWear sturdy close-toed shoes\, long pants\, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear\, a hat\, a filled water bottle\, and snacks. Bring gloves if you have a pair and prefer to use your own. Instruction\, tools and gloves otherwise provided.  \n\n\n\nYou will be walking up to 5 miles away from the meeting location and restrooms\, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive 5-10minutes early\, to be sure you don’t miss the group. \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring \n\n\n\n\nWork clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & Gloves\n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared)\n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)\n\n\n\nWater\n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nLunch\n\n\n\n\nTools will be provided. \n\n\n\nWaiver – Once registered\, please sign the waiver HERE. \n\n\n\nQuestions?
