SUMMARY:Trail Sister's Guided Falls Creek with Team Metropolis - 9/18
DESCRIPTION:Join NWTA’s Trail Sister’s & Team Metropolis for a guided ride on the spectacular Falls Creek trail. \n\n\n\n\nregister\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nJoin the femmes of Team Metropolis for a day in the Gifford Pinchot to experience this gem of a Washington trail. We will shuttle to Oldman Pass\, connecting to McLellen Meadows and then to Falls Creek Trail\, dividing into two groups based on ability and fitness. Both groups will have the opportunity to session technical parts of the climbs and descents. There are many great snacking spots with a view. We might even stop to enjoy some of the lava tubes off the trail. Bring your sense of adventure and join us for a day on the trail!  \n\n\n\nThis Intermediate to Advanced skill level ride is for Trail Sisters- (cis & trans) and non-binary. It is 23 miles and 1500 feet of technical and punchy climbing; descending is technical with roots and rocks and some exposure; expect to be on the trail for 5 hours. \n\n\n\nPlease assess your riding skills honestly. This ride requires fitness and technical skills. The trails we will ride are rated blue on Trailforks. We want everyone to be safe and have a good time. \n\n\n\nWe are not meeting at an established trailhead\, please use these coordinates to get to our meeting spot: 45.922321\, -121.947033 on Wind River Road \n\n\n\nExpect spotty cell phone service in this area. \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n\nA mountain bike in working orderHelmet (required!)\n\n\n\nGloves & Glasses recommendedSnacks\, Sandwich\, Snacks\, at least 2. 5 liters of Water\, Snacks & Snacks\n\n\n\nSunscreenRepair Kit & First Aid Kit\n\n\n\nThere will be a mechanic at the start for any emergencies.  \n\n\n\nPlease sign  this waiver in order to participate.  \n\n\n\nAgenda: \n\n\n\n9:00 -9:30 shuttle organization and ride by 10:00; expect to be on the trail for 5 hours (3 pm) and hang out afterwards with refreshments and a creek side social hour. \n\n\n\nPlease contact Janelle with any questions: jlynnebickford@gmail.com \n\n\n\nEvents like these are made possible through funds generated by NWTA membership dollars. DESCRIPTION:Join River City Bicycles\, partnered with the NWTA\, for an evening ride at Rocky Point on 9/24. \n\n\n\n\nregister\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nBeginner and Intermediate riders are welcome for a 2-hour shred\, covering up to 10 miles and 2k feet of elevation.  \n\n\n\nThe ride’s open to all genders\, and will be led by women from River City Bicycles.  \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n\nA mountain bike in working order \n\n\n\nHelmet (required) \n\n\n\nWater & Snacks \n\n\n\nFirst Aid Kit \n\n\n\nPlease bring a helmet- or handlebar-mounted light for safety\, as we’ll be riding close to dusk.  \n\n\n\nMeet at the Rocky Point Trailhead covered area (to the left of the parking lot) at 4:30pm\, to roll by 5:00pm.  \n\n\n\nQuestions can be directed to Isabella at isabellat@rivercitybicycles.com. \n\n\n\nUnder the lease agreement with the Rocky Point land manager (Weyerhaeuser) you must be a NWTA Member in good standing AND sign the Rocky Point Waiver to access this property. These will be verified before the ride.  \n\n\n\nThe River City Bicycles’ MTB Community is women-led and intersectional-minded\, designed to create space for mountain bikers outside of the stereotypes. Our goal is to connect\, support\, and inspire off-road riders of all skill levels.  \n\n\n\n*IMPORTANT* These events fill quickly and always have a waitlist of people hoping to join. It is imperative that you stand by your commitment and SHOW UP.
