DESCRIPTION:Weekend event celebrating the construction of a new technical MTB trail in the Columbia Gorge near Cascade Locks\, Oregon. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a weekend of outdoor fun and trail stewardship in the breathtaking​ Columbia Gorge!Event Highlights:Campout Social: Embrace ‘mountain bike’ camaraderie under the stars with fellow volunteers! \n\n\n\nGroup Rides: Come prepared to enjoy both day and night rides (hint- bring your lights) \n\n\n\nTrail Work: Be a trail hero! Contribute to the construction of a new technical trail​. Then get a chance to test ride what we have built afterward. \n\n\n\nWhy Attend:Hands-On Contribution: Whether you’re a seasoned trail builder or new to the game\, everyone is welcome to join in the trail-building excitement. \n\n\n\nTools and Guidance: We provide the tools and expert guidance\, ensuring a safe and enjoyable trail-building experience. \n\n\n\nGive Back: Your enthusiasm and teamwork will make a lasting impact on the local mountain biking community and the trails we cherish.Location: ​We have reserved the group campsites at the Wyeth Forest Service Campground. All you need to do is to register and join the fun.​Dates: Friday May 3 – Sunday May 5. DESCRIPTION:Ride MTB with River City Bicycles and NWTA! \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nBack by popular demand\, our social mtb trail rides hosted in partnership with Northwest Trail Alliance…These are trail rides–requiring a modern trail-capable mountain bikes\, and some trail riding experience–that participants love for the opportunity to meet at the trailhead\, be greeted by River City Bicycles and Northwest Trail Alliance\, learn about the trail systems from the folks who know them best\, and have good times riding in a social group ride format.After riding\, we wrap things up socially with a tailgate grill sesh or picnic\, provided by River City Bicycles. \n\n\n\n— \n\n\n\n“modern trail-capable mountain bikes” – recreational or enthusiast grade mountain bikes fetauring larger volume knobby tires\, suspension\, disc brakes\, dropper-posts\, etc. \n\n\n\n“some trail riding experience” – We intend for these trail rides to be open to riders of varying ability levels\, but to be prepared\, riders should be fairly comfortable on their bikes and ready to advance from beginner trails—like those found at Gateway Green—to those found at the larger trail systems we’ll be touring.

DESCRIPTION:Join NW Trail Sisters for a beginner level/green ride at Sandy Ridge! \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAttention Trail Sisters! Do you really enjoy green level trails or are newer to mountain biking and looking to ride with other women/non-binary riders? This is your ride! \n\n\n\nJoin us at Sandy Ridge for an evening of exploring trails. This is a no-drop ride\, meaning no one is left behind. We are here to cheer each other on and have a lot of fun! \n\n\n\nAssessing your skill level is the best way to ensure you and the people around you will have a good time. As a beginner/green level (not novice) rider\, you should be familiar with your bike; how to shift\, brake\, and overall ride your bike on uneven terrain. We will be riding over roots and smaller rocks as well as riding up to 4 miles with up to 500 feet of elevation. \n\n\n\nOnce your registered\, please ​also sign the ​event waiver HERE \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n\nMountain Bike \n\n\n\nHelmet \n\n\n\nGloves \n\n\n\nLayers – this is Oregon\, ride will happen rain or shine! \n\n\n\nMinimum 1 – 2 liters of water in bottles or a Hydration Pack. \n\n\n\nSnacks – easy to eat and digest. \n\n\n\nIf you have any questions\, feel free to reach out to your sweet and sassy ride leader\, Stacy S. at gaiadog@frontier.com \n\n\n\nThis event\, as well as over 100 trail stewardship events across the region each year are made possible by membership dollars.
