DESCRIPTION:*** EVENT FULL *** \nThank you for your interest. Please check our calendar for other similar events in the area. \n  \nJoin NWTA’s sub chapter Growlers Gulch Racing for the only maintenance day in 2019 at the Castle Rock Bike Park in Castle Rock\, WA \nAGENDA: \nThree significant projects to complete:\nConstruct a 300-foot feature that combines logs and slabs\nMove the wall ride to the north end of the jump lines\nBuild a series of pipe-overs on the west side of the park\nAdditionally\, we will be doing a full-on clean up of the park and upgrading several features that need love. \nWe plan to have two or three machines on site that day. This build is going to be more about dealing with tricky situations than manpower. Sign ups will be limited\, please sign up today. \nPlease note that due to the nature of machine availability\, we will plan to stay until the projects are completed. \nLunch & carbonated refreshments will be served for all volunteers. Please bring water & snacks.

DESCRIPTION:Event description \nStub Stewart – Winter 2019 Trail Work Parties \nKick off the new year by giving a little back to the trails you enjoyed riding in 2018. And check off your new year’s resolution by getting in some good early-season cross-training to boot!\nWinter season work parties at Stub will be focused on two main objectives. First\, keep the trails in good riding shape through the wet\, rainy season when they need the most TLC. From there\, we will hike to the work site\, where we will distribute tools and discuss the project\, tool use\, and trail work safety. Tools will be provided at the site.\nWe will do trail work\, rain or shine\, for approximately 4 hours\, 9am-1pm. Dress for cold\, wet weather but wear layers to shed while working. Work will wrap up between 2-2:30\, and the group will hike back to their cars by 3pm.\nRiders familiar with Stub Stewart can choose to bring their bikes and may ride back to the work site after checking in at Hilltop.\nWhat to bring: Lunch\, water\, snacks\, and work gloves. Bring your bike helmet to wear for head protection. \nWhat to wear:\nBoots\nSturdy work gloves (more than one pair is a good idea)\nLong sleeved shirt\, and layers for warmth\nRain jacket. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the inaugural TRAIL MIX\, inviting all trail users to come together for a fun day of trail work & stewardship in the Tillamook Forest. Whether you’re a mountain biker\, trail runner\, hiker or equestrian\, trail work veteran or first-timer\, we welcome you. \n  \nTRAIL MIX is presented by Northwest Trail Alliance\, Trailkeepers of Oregon\, Daybreak Racing and the Oregon Timber Trail Association in a volunteer partnership with the Oregon Department of Forestry. \n  \nDATE: March 30\, 2019 \nLOCATION: Gales Creek Campground on HWY 6 (Wilson River Highway) near milepost 35 \nTIME: Safety meeting begins at 9:30am. Work from 10am – 2pm \nWHAT TO BRING: Sturdy boots\, work gloves\, eye protection\, long sleeved shirt\, pants\, rain gear if wet\, hard hat or bike helmet (extra hard hats will be available if you do not have one)\, drinking water\, lunch/snacks. \nSIGN-UP: You must fill out the sign up form prior to the work date. This is critical to our planning purposes. \n  \nALL TRAIL WORK TOOLS WILL BE PROVIDED by event supporters!! If you have your own had tools\, please bring them if you would like to. \n  \nTIMELINE: We will break into small groups\, each led by an experienced crew leader who will guide their work throughout the day on their trail section. Cleanup efforts include raking\, drainage clearing & fixing minor tread issues along the Gales Creek\, Storey Burn & Historic Hiking Trail Loops. \n  \nAFTER PARTY!: We will offer a chili dinner\, carbonated beverages & beer from our generous sponsor Hopworks Urban Brewery (for age appropriate volunteers) at the end of the work day at Gales Creek Campground Base Camp\, along with great raffle prizes donated by event sponsors. Camping & an opportunity for a ride/run/hike the following day (Sunday March 31st) is being planned but will be highly dependent upon weather conditions Expect and update regarding this option as we get closer to the work date. \nEmail updates will be sent to preregistered volunteers.
