DESCRIPTION:Come help either upgrade Sicktar Lars with new features or do some brushing/treadwork on Wilson River Trail (snow levels to make decision). \nREGISTER HERE. \nFinal details (where/when to meet up\, what to bring\, etc) will be emailed out no less than 3 days in advance. Work days typically include a 1.5-2.0 hr bike ride/hike\, work for 3-4 hrs\, then hot food and a variety of beverages afterward. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday 02/25 to do some needed trail work at Powell Butte. \n\n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n\n\nAll ages & trail maintenance skill levels are welcome! \n\n\n\nWhere to Meet \n\n\n\nEllis Street Trailhead: 5608 SE 145th Avenue\, Portland\, OR 97236 \n\n\n\nScope of Work \n\n\n\nJoin Portland Parks & Recreation staff and community volunteers in completing important trail work projects on Powell Butte. We will continue the turnpike trail work and hopefully get to some work on Douglas Fir trail.  \n\n\n\nNo experience necessary! Youth participants must be at least age 14\, and all volunteers aged 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign our youth waiver forms. \n\n\n\nWear sturdy close-toed shoes\, long pants\, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear\, a hat\, a filled water bottle\, and snacks. Bring gloves if you have a pair and prefer to use your own. Instruction\, tools and gloves otherwise provided.  \n\n\n\nYou will be walking up to 5 miles away from the meeting location and restrooms\, so please be ready to hike.
