SUMMARY:DIG DAY — Sandy Ridge: Let's get Sandy ready for shuttle day - 5/30
DESCRIPTION:Shuttle day is June 13th. Time to put the finishing touches on the trails for the event. \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin us for a Trail Maintenance day at Sandy Ridge. Trail work will last approximately 6 hours\, wrapping up at 3:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nSchedule: \n\n\n\n9:00 AM Safety Meeting in Parking Lot \n\n\n\n9:15 AM Drive up to tool storage area \n\n\n\n9:30 AM Head out to work areas \n\n\n\n2:00 – 2:30 PM Finish up work and head back to tool storage area \n\n\n\n2:30 – 3:00 PM Clean tools and have after trail work refreshments \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nYour bike (optional) \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, long pants (no shorts)\, boots\, gloves\, eye protection \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nLunch \n\n\n\nFavorite trail tool\, McLeod or Rouge Hoe (We have tools\, but please feel free to bring your own) \n\n\n\nOptional: Folding Handsaw \n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive 15-20 mins early to ensure that you are adequately checked in. We work in all weather (except for high wind and snow)\, so come prepared for the elements (and change of clothes in the car for when we finish). \n\n\n\nOnce registered\, please sign the waiver HERE \n\n\n\nEmail SandyRidge@nw-trail.org with any questions

Tools will be provided; however\, if you’d like to bring additional tools\, you are welcome and encouraged to do so.\n\n\n\nEquipment needed: helmet (cycling helmets are OK)\, long pants\, sturdy\, comfortable footwear\, and good work gloves. We can help ensure you have a helmet\, if needed. Long sleeve shirts are recommended. If conditions are wet\, rain gear is recommended.\n\n\n\n\nOther Notes: \n\n\n\n\nDrinks\, snacks\, and swag will not be provided at the end of this event. Please bring water and snacks to keep with you at the work site.\n\n\n\nParking passes will be provided; no parking fee is required.\n\n\n\nVolunteer waivers will be available at the work site. They will need to be signed prior to beginning work.
