Jack from Emerald will be guiding the work with our crew leads\, we will be tuning up all the jumps\, fixing drainage and getting the trail in great shape for the riding season.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll work all morning\, then break for lunch at 1:00 pm\, then have a raffle at 1:30pm with a chance to win a Transition Dirt Jumper\, post raffle we’ll ride! \n\n\n\nGear SuggestionsSturdy hiking soles will help with traction as the clear cut can be very slick in the wet. Be prepared for mud and make sure you wear good gloves. Bring a backpack or bag with water\, snacks\, and anything else you may need. \n\n\n\nWill food be provided?Cyclepath will be running the grill \n\n\n\nWill we be riding after?Yes\, if weather permits \n\n\n\nNoteWe will plan on meeting at the main RP lot for our pre-work briefing\, then CARPOOL or ride to the work site.  \n\n\n\nOnce registered please sign the waiver here.

Located in the foothills of Mt. Hood\, the trails at Sandy Ridge often absorb some wild winter weather and are in need of some spring time tune-ups. We’ll provide the tools and guidance\, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a willingness to work as a team.  \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring:\n\n\n\n\nWork clothes: long sleeve shirt\, and long pants (no shorts)\n\n\n\nSturdy boots\, gloves\, and eye protection\n\n\n\nWater\, snacks\, and lunch\n\n\n\n\nTools:\n\n\n\nWe will have tools for volunteers\, But we could use more grass trimers (i.e. weed whackers) and hedge trimmers. We will also be brushing back the trails with gas powered weed eaters and follow up with gas powered blowers to make sure the existing trail corridor is clear and visible. \n\n\n\n10 a.m. – 3 p.m. \n\n\n\nMeet at the far end of the Hill Top parking lot. \n\n\n\nTrail work will last approximately 5 hours\, wrapping up at 3:00. We will have beer afterwards. \n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nWork clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, long pants (no shorts)\, boots\, eye protection\, and gloves \n\n\n\nJacket (be prepared) \n\n\n\nHard hat or bike helmet (mandatory) \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nSnacks \n\n\n\nBike – Bring your bike to ride back to the area where we will be working. \n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 10 a.m. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure that you are adequately checked in.
