They’ll learn to ride over varying terrain\, including trails and rolling terrain\, brake and corner with more confidence\, and shift more smoothly. They’ll learn to climb\, descend and ride faster; they’ll also learn slow-riding skills to have fun riding more technical trails\, including roll downs up to 6-8” high.  \n\n\n\nBike: The Beginner’s bike is a mountain bike\, either a hardtail or full suspension\, and has platform pedals\, two hand brakes (front and rear)\, a seat that can move up and down\, and is in good working condition. Single speeds are OK\, but a bike with gears will be more fun on the climbs coaster brakes\, bald tires\, or kickstands.  \n\n\n\nAdditional Required Gear:  \n\n\n\n-A properly fitting helmet in good condition and is less than 5 years old. \n\n\n\n-Water bottle and snacks \n\n\n\n-Clothing appropriate for the weather \n\n\n\n-Tools for moving the seat up and down if necessary \n\n\n\n-Pack to carry layers\, snacks\, tools\, and water \n\n\n\nRecommended Gear: \n\n\n\n-Full fingered gloves \n\n\n\n-Knee and elbow protection \n\n\n\n-Eye protection \n\n\n\n-Tools and supplies to change a flat tire (with assistance!) \n\n\n\nQuestions?
