DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Women-Led Hydraulic Brake Clinic\, Friday\, March 3rd. \n\n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n\n\n\nIn partnership with the Trail Sisters of the Northwest Trail Alliance\, RCB Mechanics Isabella\, and Sarah are hosting a fun/social opportunity to exchange information and experience working on hydraulic brake systems. \n\n\n\nSpace is limited\, all are welcome and women\, non-binary\, and femme home mechanics are encouraged. \n\n\n\nOn March 3rd\, participants will be invited to our MLK location (706 MLK Jr Blvd) at 6pm\, then by 6:30…we’ll be rolling into the one-hour\, hands-on clinic exploring Sram and Shimano mountain bike brakes. DESCRIPTION:Due to the weather\, the NW Trail Sister’s Dig Series at Klootchy Creek has been canceled. We are planning on rescheduling it. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for the third installment of the NW Trail Sister’s Dig Series – Trail Maintenance! \n\n\n\n\nregister here\n\n\n\n\nDIG SEASON IS HERE! Are you ready to get dirty? \n\n\n\nJoin us at Klootchy Creek for the third installment of the NW Trail Sisters Dig Series – Trail Maintenance! We are still finalizing the projects we’ll be working on\, but we can promise you won’t want to miss this one! Specialized will be providing post-dig food + drinks.  \n\n\n\nThe dig series is a set of dig days dedicated to skills and confidence building. We have four dig days scheduled at multiple locations where we will cover the ins-and-outs of trail building in a fun and supportive environment. \n\n\n\nWe welcome all women and non-binary folks interested in trail building to join us! No prior digging experience is necessary.  \n\n\n\nWaiver: Once registered\, please sign the waiver HERE. \n\n\n\nAlso\, to access Lewis and Clark Timberlands (Klootchy Creek trail system) you’ll need this FREE\, required permit.  \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n\n\nWarm clothing & extra layers: We will be outside in the cold\, dress warm and bring extra layers.\n\n\n\nRain jacket (and pants if you have them): It’s January in the PNW\, odds are high it’ll rain and that doesn’t stop us from digging! \n\n\n\nGloves (waterproof are best): It wouldn’t hurt to bring an extra pair\, too. Cold hands suck!\n\n\n\nSturdy shoes\n\n\n\nHelmet or hard hat (required)\n\n\n\nEye protection \n\n\n\nWater\n\n\n\nSnacks & lunch\n\n\n\nBike and bike gear for post-digging rips\n\n\n\n\nTOOLS WILL BE PROVIDED. You are not required to bring any tools\, but if you have your own folding saw\, loppers\, rake\, shovel\, or hoe\, feel free to bring it. \n\n\n\nJoin NWTA and become one of nearly 6\,000 mountain bikers stewarding trails together in NW Oregon and SW Washington. If the cost of membership creates a financial hardship\, please reach out to us\, we can help with that barrier. \n\n\n\nThese events are very popular and sell out quickly. SUMMARY:Trail Sisters Black Friday Forest Park Ride - 11/29
DESCRIPTION:register here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin Trail Sisters for a ride through Forest Park the morning after Thanksgiving! \n\n\n\nThis ride is open to women; cis\, trans\, nonbinary. \n\n\n\nMeet: \n\n\n\nAt Fat Tire Farm at 10 a.m. and roll out by 10:30 a.m. (If you drive\, please don’t park in the FTF lot.) \n\n\n\nBring: \n\n\n\nA gravel/cyclocross bike with knobby 35c/40c tires for maximum fun\, but hardtail mountain bikes are also great for this terrain. Full suspension mountain bikes might be a bit heavy\, but bring what ya got! \n\n\n\nAlso\, bring the standard stuff to keep you safe and comfy: helmet\, gloves\, layers\, fenders\, water\, snacks\, clear-lens glasses. \n\n\n\nRide: \n\n\n\nAbout 1\,400 ft of climbing over about 16 miles. This is a no-drop ride but there may be groups that split up a little depending on who’s feeling peppy and who’s feeling chill 🙂 We will always regroup at natural stopping points. \n\n\n\nRoute on Ride With GPS: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49006426 \n\n\n\nSocialize: \n\n\n\nOptional (but highly encouraged) post-ride hang sesh at St Honore.
