DESCRIPTION:TRAIL WORK (in the Freerider area) Our Mission is to transform the Rinse & Repeat trail into a downhill trail.  Specifically\, changing it from a multi-directional trail to become a BLUE downhill-only trail. This modification will create a continuous descent from the top of the freeride area to the bottom of Lower Green Horn.  This trail modification is part of a larger plan which includes creating a NEW Black trail in the future (see map)Our goal is to complete this trail modification in just TWO trail projects so we can reopen the trail quickly. To accomplish this goal we help. \n\n\n\n\nsign up\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLarge trail project #1 Sunday\, April 18th \n\n\n\nChange Rinse & Repeat to a downhill trail and connect with Lower Green HornRemove scrap woodpile (with the help of the Park Ranger vehicle)\n\n\n\nLarge trail project #2 with multiple 6-person crews Sunday\, May 2nd \n\n\n\nReshape Rinse & Repeat large corners to be consistent with a downhill trail

We will be doing two groups of 10 and offsetting the start time to keep participants safe. Please register for an A or B time slot\, group A which starts at 9:00 and group B starting at 9:30. SUMMARY:Rocky Point Clean Up 5/23
DESCRIPTION:Join us while we do our part to clean up our beloved Rocky Point Trails. Sunday\, May 23rd\, we will be picking up the garbage that was inherited when we signed the Rocky Point lease. Our objective will be to remove trash at the top of Base Camp (family trails)\, the parking lot and along Rocky Point Road. We will have THREE staggered times\, at 9 am\, 10 am and 11 am. \n\n\n\n\nGroup a – 9 am\n\n\n\nGroup B – 10 am\n\n\n\nGroup C – 11 AM\n\n\n\n\nWhen: Sunday\, May 23rd from 9:00 – 12:00 and 10:00 – 1:00 (additional sign ups may be added based on interest) \n\n\n\nWhere: Rocky Point Central Trailhead (45.696324\, -122.888672) We will be meeting at the kiosk at the main trail head on the south side. Have yourself and gear ready to go by 9am or 10am depending on the group you registered for. We recommend showing up early to ensure we respect each other’s time. \n\n\n\nWho: YOU! Our NWTA community is invited to join us in giving back to our trails and our planet. This is a family friendly event. We encourage families to join in. It’s important to show our youth the importance of caring for the environment.  \n\n\n\nWhat: (to bring) Bright clothes! We will be cleaning up the parking area\, roadside and near machinery. Make sure you are HIGHLY VISIBLE. We are picking up garbage\, keep safe by wearing gloves and sturdy shoes. Due to Covid restrictions\, NWTA cannot provide food and drinks. Bring plenty of snacks and water. Garbage bags will be provided! \n\n\n\nWhy: It is important to NWTA to be good stewards of our environment and the places where we recreate. Keeping these places clean and natural reflects the values of our organization and the values of our members.  \n\n\n\nHow: We will be able to have this clean up day because we all will be taking incredible precautions to keep each other safe. NWTA’s Covid-19 protocol is to keep 6′ of distance between each other and to wear a mask when you are within 20 ft of each other. That looks like a lot of mask wearing. Not fun\, but Covid is even less fun. Let’s do our part in keeping each other safe. You are important to us! \n\n\n\nQuestions?
