Check-in & Day of Registration at “The Hub” (next to the pump track) \n\n\n\nCreated in 2004 and recognized by US Congress\, Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day is a family-oriented outdoor event\, where mountain biking is introduced to some\, and others come out to test their skills and improve confidence. It’s about having fun\, being safe\, and meeting others who share the joy of mountain biking. \n\n\n\nBring your bikes\, helmets & water bottles. We have a limited amount of bikes to loan. The park is located adjacent to the MUP\, north of the Gateway Transit Center \n\n\n\nPublic Transit: Ride the bus or MAX to the Gateway Transit Center\, then ride or walk northbound on the I-205 Multi-use Path. The park is about a quarter mile from the Transit Center. \n\n\n\nBy Car: Gateway Green is not directly accessible by car. Parking is available in the SW corner of the Gateway Fred Meyer parking lot. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, October 9\, from 9 am – 2 pm at Sandy Ridge Trail System to get the trails back in shape after a busy summer! Trail work will last approximately 4 hours\, wrapping up at 2:00. \n\n\n\n\nregister\n\n\n\n\nWhat To Bring: \n\n\n\nYour bike (optional)Work clothes: Light long sleeve shirt\, Long Pants (no shorts)\, Boots\, Gloves\, Eye Protection & GlovesJacket (be prepared)Hard hat or bike helmet (mandatory)WaterSnacks LunchFavorite trail tool\, McLeod or Rouge Hoe (We have tools\, but please feel free to bring your own if you are more comfortable with your own).Optional: Folding HandsawFace Covering as recommended by the CDC\n\n\n\nSafety meeting promptly starts at 9 am. SUMMARY:Guided Intermediate Ride in the Tillamook State Forest - 10/9
DESCRIPTION:Join NWTA for an intermediate ride on the Historic Hiking/Biking Trail loop in the Tillamook State Forest. \n\n\n\n\nregister\n\n\n\n\nSunday’s ride is the trail system that gave your ride leader her passion for this sport. This route is a 8-9 mile loop that contains technical challenges including rock gardens\, drops and roots\, some short but strenuous climbs and lots of pure playful riding. The ride requires very good technical skills\, aerobic ability to make short strenuous climbs and the stamina to ride comfortably for at least 3 hours.  \n\n\n\nOur meeting place will be at the Cornelius Pass Fred Meyers- 7355 NE Imbrie Drive\, Hillsboro Oregon near the Panda Express side of the parking lot at 9:00 A.M. for carpooling and caravanning to the trailhead. This is around 8 miles with about 1\,000 feet of elevation gain. Join River City Bicycles\, partnered with the NWTA\, for a night ride at Sandy Ridge.  \n\n\n\nBeginner and Intermediate riders are welcome for a 2-hour shred\, covering up to 10 miles and 2k feet of elevation in the darkness of night! \n\n\n\nThe ride’s open to all genders\, and will be led by women from River City Bicycles.  \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring:  \n\n\n\nMountain bike in good working order \n\n\n\nHelmet (required) \n\n\n\n2-3 helmet- or handlebar-mounted lights\, and any additional glow-in-the-dark\, light-up costumes for yourself or your bike (just make sure everything is secure\, so we don’t litter the trails with shedding glow sticks).  \n\n\n\nWater & Snacks \n\n\n\nFirst Aid Kit \n\n\n\nSign this waiver to participate. \n\n\n\nMeet at the Sandy Ridge Trailhead Parking Lot at 4:30pm\, to roll by 5:00pm. \n\n\n\nQuestions can be directed to Isabella at isabellat@rivercitybicycles.com \n\n\n\nEvents like these are made possible by NWTA’s Membership dollars.
